So now you should all have settled into your courses, and hopefully you are starting to enjoy your studies at the University of Adelaide. If you are unsure of your courses, or how to get the most out of your studies, now is the time to ask for help from the Academic Staff within the School.
Last week we held a welcome event for all new Computer Science students, where hopefully a good number of these students were able to meet their Personal Mentor. You should all have received an email from the ECMS Faculty Office letting you know who your mentor is. If you haven’t, or you have forgotten, please contact them or the CS reception area to ask. In particular, if you are having difficulties in your courses, you should really go to see someone (your mentor or a lecturer) as soon as possible to discuss them.
For those of you that are not new, you also have a mentor . You would have received an email from the Faculty Office as well when you started, but I expect that many of you no longer know who your mentor is. Don’t worry – just ask at ECMS reception and they will be able to tell you. Contact them if you are having any issues with your studies during this year.
So – good luck with your studies! I look forward to meeting you during your program here.
